ISLAMABAD (July 06 2010): All kinds of air-conditioners encompassing automobiles would be liable to 10 percent federal excise duty (FED) under the Finance Act, 2010. Sources told Business Recorder on Monday that the car air-conditioners are covered under the category of air-conditioners liable to FED. Primarily, three kinds of air-conditioners are subject to 10 percent FED.
